From my personal experience, there is a push toward this level of tech in offices. I luckily work in one of those offices. AS I have mentioned ion other posts. I use Revit at work for almost every project. The only time I use CAD is when we work with other companies that don’t use Revit yet. While the office has many different age groups, almost everyone in the office knows some level of Revit. So, to answer the question about if within the next ten years this BIM world will be typical in most companies. I don’t think 10 may be a little bit longer but for the more ambition and competitive companies that is where they are headed right now. Before this class, I had heard of Rhino and grasshopper-like programs but only at lunch and learns. This is a realm the company I currently work for is dipping their toe in the water with, and a few recently brought on people have a background in those programs and other BIM programs.

a. I am on the same page as you. I think there are still some major steps to go before everyone is fully immersed in this technology. The cost is for sure a factor in all of this, my company buys a certain number of licenses and sometimes there are not enough because as a company Revit is used for almost every project. Even we are a smaller company the owners have made the choice to invest in the new technology and I think it shows and our clients like it as well. But you make some good points.

a. I said some similar things in my post as well. I agree that it won’t happen in 10 years but a bit longer. As the older workforces retire and the younger generations take over this tech will be used more but there still will be some push since it won’t be the norm.

a. You made some good points with the advancement of the tech the industry will be using in future years. With money and hard work the new technology can enter the industry faster but the people that will be using it will be on board as well. I think there is a good possibility that this new wave of tech is coming but not as fast as predicted.
I am happy with your level of mastery of Revit software, and as you said, almost everyone in your office knows a certain degree of Revit. There is no doubt that BIM technology will dominate in the next 10 years, but it does not rule out the emergence of more efficient technology than using BIM. There is a problem with your blog, the length is a bit short, and you can't explain your point very well.
