About Me

Hello! My name is Richard Kimball and I am a fourth-year Architectural Engineering student taking part in the BS/MS program getting a MS in Building Energy and IAQ. I am from Hockessin, DE which is about 10 minutes from Wilmington, DE and about 40 minutes from Philadelphia.
My first co-op was with the City of Philadelphia's Department of Public Property on their real estate. My second co-op was as a Fire Protection Engineer at EwingCole.

I am interested in pursuing research into building energy and automation and ways that those two things can be done with more efficiency. I am very interested in significantly reducing building energy usage through more efficient processes or intelligent technology.

My definition of intelligent building is a building that can monitor and sense different stimuli or inputs and adapt how the building systems are running accordingly. An intelligent building would be able to change different facets of the building to be the most efficient given the current scenario.
